About me
As Director of Inclusion & Belonging at Best Buy Canada my mission is to ensure Best Buy continues to offer a workplace where all employees feel valued, respected, and empowered to be their authentic selves. I have one of the best jobs – I get to be of service to our people, our most valuable asset.
Before this role, my team and I stood up Best Buy Health in Canada, where we got to learn about human needs as paths between healthcare and technology further merge for better human condition and patient outcome. In that role we got to make technology more accessible for all ages and all ability levels – starting with older adults in our communities. Partnering with Healthcare and research allowed us to see the value of technology-supported human connections.
My professional life has been exciting at Best Buy over the past 25 years – here I became an expert in technology commercialization, omnichannel logistics, service offerings, customer experience, and humanizing processes to gain customers for life – the most rewarding part has been the privilege to work with dedicated, passionate, and ‘good to the bone’ teammates who continue to better me as a human and as a leader. Together, we got to make transformational changes while never losing sight of our social responsibilities.
I believe in staying human in any industry drives business success and community trust and the key driver for me is creating meaningful changes.
Three of us (my partner and our dog, Toby) live in Port Moody, BC. Other than discovering new trails, we enjoy discovering different parts of the world and its offerings in art, architecture, history, and food!
